a peculiarity of the sisterhood

we had a conversation just now..on some pecularities of daily lving or life in general..

was asked, "did you notice, that people tend to yawn at the same time?"

and i said "no? do you?"

it's strange but he thought it was some matrix like glitch in a system like the occurence of dejavu in the matrix the movie, that people tend to yawn at the same time (simultanesouly)..i just thought it would be purely a mattter of coincidence or several factors brought together, like the post lunch+aircon+soft sofa, that make more people sleepy and more people tend to yawn..


so i asked him something which we talked about the other night, even though this is more of a ladies sort of question

"do you know, that women tend to have their menses rescheduled to coincide with that of the othe women they are close to?" "how do you explain that?"

does that happen to you?

it does for me. i happen to have, in each period of my life, a few close female friendships and companionships..and overtime each time i notice our menses will reschedule such that, that time of the month will happen at about the same time of the month... and i have a feeling this does not only happen to us!


my theory on this, i told the husband..the theory of course deduced solely from watching a few animal documentaries:

animals which are non-social like our domestic cat, they have their menses at different times..how do i figure this?..well i suppose, because i think if they do the neighbourhood will be very very noisy at the same time of the month..


but other social animals like ...errr.. lionesses in africa..seem to welcome the male lions at the same time, or from what i gather by watching national geographic channel. i mean all the lionesses seem ready and able though not necessarily willing to get it on at the same time..meaning, they probaly have their time of the month at the same time...

does it make sense?

or i am just rambling??

or even imagining about the time of the month thing??
