on another adventure

eversince we got married, we have been to a few trips. bali, lombok and phuket...

all within 6 months! i know we are awful...terrible..tsk tsk

but all along we have been planning and pinching here and there and travelling is our indulgence.

and we have been planning another one.
for this end of the year, we have explored a few options...

and the decision

is

finally

on

INDIA!

we've got the india LP, read as many posts on the necessary forums. consulted a few people here and there.

we know a lot of people think the country is dirty and chaotic. we have no illusions that it is otherwise, therefore we had planned to do a half-half trip.

the hardest section we thought we would do a pre-organised trip. the gtt, the golden triangle trip we decided to sign up with muhibbah travel (muhibbah= muslim + organised trip= parents wont freak out and think that we are crazy)

that would have covered about 5 days of our trip, and the plan was to do the remaining on our own.

so today we headed down to the the agency.

spent two hours there. i have already did all the research i think i could have done. even knew all the necessary train numbers (the agent took out a "India Trains at a Glance" guide and was suitably impressed that i knew exactly what he was looking for in that convoluted book of train timetable). you know i even quoted the distances between the cities..kwakwakwa..

and am pretty knowledgable about the heritage circuit.

so he knew we know our stuffs..phfft..

stil the agent told us SINGAPOREANS CANNOT BACKPACK in INDIA....only the hare krisnas types can take it he said.

and had something else in mind..

as always, we like to keep our options open and since we always work on and around a budget, we told him what we wanted. we stated our budget. our wants and preferences.

and right now, we are awaiting for that plan. it wont be a package tour. he got something tailored for us...a combination of plane, trains and automobiles..instead of what he said the "india train rides that us singaporean cant take"

you know, i was looking forward to the train travelling..

but we'll see for now. waiting for emails, going to do some comparisons.

and we'll decide..

but the trip is sort of confirmed.

we've booked our air tickets to delhi!
