watching the news, we cant help but think back at the times when we were there. being on budget, we stayed with a friend at chalk farm london. it was pre-911 then so there was never a thought about safety (especially since the estate is like a lil israel with many orthodox jews staying there walking around in the neighbourhood with their jannguts and hat and seeing them in the shadows on a friday) and our main mode of transport was the tube. the times we were going up an down the convoluted stairways from one tube station to another.


things are different now, arent they?
